Facing Jon Irenicus

A Baldur's Gate II fan art that could have been called "The Tree of Life".

Finally the group get to face their archnemesis at the top of the tree of life, far above Suldanessellar, home of the wood elves in the forest of Thetir. An epic battle that begins here, a the to of the trees, but will only find its resolution in Hell.

From left to right/back to front: 

Aerie the wingless Avariel, being both a powerful archmage and a cleric of the gnomish god Baervan Wildwanderer, she became a splendid companion and a formidable adversary to our heroine’s enemies.

Valygar Corthalia the stalker, his hatred for the arcane magic will make him a awe-inspiring foe to all magic user enemies, including Irenicus.

Imoen the former thief that became a mighty archmage. Daughter of the god of murder, she’s the sister of our heroine and has been kept prisoner by Irenicus until she got freed by the group. Time for vengeance has finally come.

Karina d'Ervor, bhaalspawn paladin that faces her destiny in a path that could lead her on the throne of a god.

Anomen Delryn, both a fighter and a cleric, he became a noble knight of the Radiant heart and he is now willing to give his life for Karina, the woman he loves.

Jon Irenicus. Seeking for immortality, Irenicus represents the darkest side of elves. After the death of his vampire sister Bodhi by the hand of Karina, Irenicus is now doomed by facing the same fate.

And finally, Haer’Dalis, Tiefling bard and actor, this Jack-of-all-trades and planewalker is a member of the planar faction known as the Doomguard. Beware of his blades.

This is probably going to be my last BGII fan art, at least for a long while. Actually, this is one scene I wanted to do since I started to work on my BG series, but that proved to be quite challenging in every aspect.
